I own Great Lakes Laminators.  We manufacture engineered insulated and laminated logs.  Gary has built one of our homes in Banner Elk.  Give him a call and he'll setup a visit for you to see the home he built. beautiful place on the river.

Hi NC Mountains,
I'm looking to build a small cabin in Western NC as well. I'd be interested to hear what you have found out in your research and if you had made a decision on a company. I was looking at Hearthstone Log Homes which is located in Boone. They seem a bit pricier than Southland but maybe there is an advantage to dealing with a local company? Please share your experiences and what you have found out. I will as well as I learn more.

Ok . . .
